Travel
There are several daily flights from UK airports to Athens (check Easyjet, British Airways, Olympic Airlines, etc.). Ask your travel agent for details, or look on the Internet.
Naxos: From Athens airport, you can take a domestic flight from the adjacent terminal directly to the island (c. 40 minutes’ flying time). Alternatively, take the metro, taxi, or airport bus to Piraeus for the high-speed ferry (c. 3.5 hours), or the slower ferry (c. 5.5 hours).
Tinos: From Athens airport you can take the airport bus or a taxi to the port of Rafina, and catch the high-speed ferry to Tinos (c. 1.75 hours), or the slower ferry (c. 5 hours).
Amorgos: From Athens airport, take the metro, taxi or airport bus to Piraeus for the comfortable, modern ferry to Amorgos (c. 8 hours, or overnight cabins available).
Athens: If you are staying in Athens, from Athens airport, you can either take the metro or airport bus to the centre of Athens and follow our simple directions (sent after you have booked) a short way to your hotel, or take a taxi from the airport direct to the hotel.
NB Ferry and domestic flight schedules can normally be confirmed and tickets booked about two months in advance. Alternatively, as long as you are not travelling on or near a national holiday (such as Greek Easter weekend, 25-28 April 08), you can buy ferry tickets prior to sailing, from one of the many travel agents and ticket offices on the quayside
at Piraeus or Rafina.
